How to look after your candles:

We recommend burning the candle for 1-3 hours in one burning period. When the flame is burning too high, smoking, or flickering, extinguish the candle. Let it cool and trim the wick to 5mm before re-lighting the candle. It is normal for natural waxes to look discoloured, lumpy or frosty once it has reformed. Sweating is when you see beads of liquid oil appear on the candle's surface. This is the result of moving a candle from one temperature to another. Natural waxes like soy wax are sensitive to extreme temperature changes, causing the natural oils to separate from the wax, leaving the pools of oil we see on top. The beads of oil will be reabsorbed once the temperature stabilises. This does not affect the overall performance of the scented candle. 

You may also notice a white, crystalline layer on the surface or sides of the candle. This is known as frosting and is a natural characteristic of soy and coconut wax. It does not affect the performance, scent throw, or overall quality. We embrace these subtle imperfections as part of what makes each candle unique.
